C. Michael Nilsson, PE, CEO/CTO

Michael is a Professional Engineer with over 24 years of experience in medical device development. He specialized in designing minimally invasive instruments and implants with the Medical Device Innovations Group at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Michael expanded his focus to include spinal implants and specialty surgical instrumentation and in 2006 founded Innovative Delta Technology, LLC. In 2024 Michael formed CTQ-Spine to commercialize the Countertorque Screwdriver technology in Spine Surgery. Fluent in English, German, and Swedish, he collaborates globally with 26 issued patents to date.

Dennis Chien, CMO

Dennis has launched over 30 Medical Device systems and programs impacting 2.5 million patients while driving over 1B$ in revenue. He joined Michael in 2023 and brings invaluable experience from his 16 year tenure at Johnson & Johnson MedTech where he held senior roles in Marketing, Strategic Alliances, and R&D. His expertise spans a wide variety of clinical areas, particularly in Spine and Orthopedics where the majority of his 26 issued US patents lie. Dennis maintains strong academic ties having served as Executive Chair of the Johns Hopkins Engineering Alumni Association, and as a guest lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins.
